3-Yr-Old Son Takes Off Running Towards Neighbor’s House. That’s When Mom Sees The Blood

On a chilly February day in Gloucester, Virginia, Kelsea Spouse was at her mother’s house to pick up her 3-year-old son, Jaxon Lopez. As she went to load her vehicle, the little boy followed her outside, leaving behind his winter coat.

Spouse told WTKR-TV that she would normally order Jaxon to go back inside and grab his coat, but on this particular day, there may have been a reason why she decided not to. “I didn’t think twice about it, he just walked out with me to the car,” she said.

Around the same time, the neighbor next door was going through a frightening incident. She had started her day feeling ill and was walking downstairs to call for help.

She suddenly collapsed in the kitchen and bumped her head pretty hard. The injured woman was able to make it to her garage, where she hoped someone would eventually come to her aid.

Spouse was wearing unplugged headphones when she heard Jaxon randomly mutter the word “help.”

She assumed maybe he was just being a typical toddler mimicking something that he heard, but before she could figure it out, her son took off running toward the neighbor’s house.

Spouse decided to trail behind her son to see what was the matter. Once she ended in the neighbor’s yard, she yelled out if anyone needed help and heard a faint response.

That’s when Spouse saw the neighbor on the garage floor, bleeding. She quickly dialed 911 and directed Jaxon to go get his grandmother from the house.
