Couple Can’t Pay Restaurant Bill, Waitress Falls To Her Knees Upon Realizing Their Plan

Restaurant wait staff are some of the most underappreciated and underpaid people on the planet. As you can probably imagine, it’s not an easy job having to please customers every single minute of the day.

Working for tips can sometimes make it seem like you’re working for peanuts. Wait staff’s feet will ache from being on them for hours upon hours.

Chelsea Roff is a waitress who works at Spring St. Smokehouse and although she always has a smile on her face, sometimes a customer can make her cry, especially when they tell her why she’s not getting a tip. If anyone deserves a break, it’s Chelsea.

This young woman has raised her sister since she was a little girl, she’s battled with an eating disorder and she even runs a non-profit organization that helps others overcome their own eating disorders through the practice of yoga. Although Chelsea struggles financially, you can tell by her glowing expression that she is truly a happy person on the inside.

Chelsea even maintained her composure when a couple politely told her that they only had just enough money to pay for their meal, with nothing leftover for her. Even though she relies on tips to pay the bills, she showed this couple compassion for their predicament.

Yet when the couple offered Chelsea an incredible alternative to a cash tip, she was stunned! Earlier in the day, someone else had left a surprise wad of cash on her table, which she instantly wanted to split with all of her coworkers.

Chelsea didn’t know what was going on with her customers that day! We’ve all heard of the concept of “paying it forward.”

Well, this is a positive prank that is paying it forward to Chelsea in more ways than one. She lost it when the truth unraveled before her eyes.

Waitress Left IN SHOCK After She Sees Note “Cowboys” Left Her On Receipt

Most of us take a few moments to decide whether to tip 15 or 20 percent when we receive the bill at a restaurant. But one group of customers at Busboys & Poets in Washington D.C. scrapped those usual numbers and, instead, aimed much, much higher.

Waitress Rosalynd Harris, who is black, found herself waiting on a table of white Texan men wearing cowboy hats.

Just a few days earlier, Rosalynd had participated in the Women’s March; the men were in town for Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Seeing as they were coming from very different perspectives during such a contentious political season, their interactions could have been uncomfortable, to say the least. However, everything turned out to be quite the opposite.

After the men left, Rosalynd was shocked to see the numbers on the receipt: a $450 tip for a “subtotal” of $72.60. Along with this amazing tip, came a note.

The handwritten note read: “We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people. Not race. Not gender. Just American. God Bless!”

“You automatically assume if someone supports Trump that they have ideas about you,” Rosalyn shared. “But (these men are) more embracing than even some of my more liberal friends, and there was a real authenticity in our exchange. This definitely reshaped my perspective.

Republican, Democrat, liberal are all subcategories to what we are experiencing. It instills a lot of hope.”

Busboys and Poets is a socially progressive restaurant and artist’s lounge, designed to help “inspire social change and begin to transform our community and the world,” as written on their Facebook page.

What their cowboy customers did for one of their waitresses is in keeping with this restaurant’s goal to foster harmony in our society.

“We all have the American spirit,” said Jason White, the man who left the tip, “And it’s really our duty to make America great ourselves—not one person. And that’s by respecting and loving one another, no matter how much we disagree with them.”

Rosalynd, a professional dancer, needs to move to a new apartment soon, and was worried about being able to afford the initial fees. She shared the tip is “a huge weight off my shoulders.”

The act of kindness has become an inspiration to many Americans, as well as a source of hope.

When it seems like the world is too short on charity and generosity, we can find some comfort by remembering this story instead.

Waitress Returns to Table and Finds $1700 ‘Tip’ Left by Customer. Quickly Realizes It’s Not for Her

“She was just a gracious, great person.”

You never know when you might be on the receiving end of an unexpected act of generosity. There are many instances in particular where waiters and waitresses have received enormous and life-changing tips from kind customers.

Though there have been multiple instances of these random acts of kindness at restaurants, each recipient has been completely surprised when it happens to them. Kaylie Cyr, a waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings, found a huge stack of cash at one of her tables.

However, she knew that she was not on the receiving end of a giant tip from a customer. In fact, her actions would change the typical “customers leave a large tip” narrative a bit.

This time, the waitress would be the one to act in the best interest of the customer. Glenn Morse was the customer who would be impressed and touched by Cyr’s act of kindness.

Morse, a regular at Buffalo Wild Wings, had dined at the restaurant and left Cyr a good tip. He also accidentally left an envelope containing $1,700 in cash on the table. That’s a lot of money to be carrying around, but it was intended for the expenses and payroll at his business. Cyr found the envelope after Morse cashed out.

According to ABC News, Cyr explained, “I looked inside and saw a big stack of 100 dollar bills. You hear those stories where people give those huge tips, but after seeing his name on the envelope, I knew it wasn’t the case.”

Watch Video Below:

Though it crossed her mind that the envelope’s contents would certainly be like the amazing ‘waitress receives huge tip’ stories she’d seen in the news, she turned in the money right away. When Morse came back the next day hoping that his envelope of money would be at the restaurant, he wanted to thank Cyr for her honesty.

He gave her a $100 bill a week later as a reward for returning the money. Cyr was delighted and surprised to receive a reward, but even more happy that she took the opportunity to do the right thing instead of giving in to the tempting choice of keeping the “extra tip.”

Morse was surprised that a waitress would anonymously surrender the cash without expecting any recognition. “You’d think someone would say, ‘It was me who did that great deed’ and I thought that was very impressive,” he said. “She wasn’t been looking for a reward or praise. She was just a gracious, great person.”

Here’s a final tip: Honesty is the best policy!

Trump Supporters Leave Waitress Friendly Note With $450 Tip

A Washington D.C. waitress says her perspective has been reshaped after a group of Trump supporters left her a friendly note on the receipt along with a very generous tip.

Rosalynd Harris is a waitress at Busboys & Poets. She went to work on Jan. 23 and was serving a table of three men who appeared to be from out of town, WUSA9 News reported.

“I could tell they were from the south because they had their cowboy hats on and I was like, ‘Oh, you’re not from the city,'” Harris told WUSA9 News.

“It was an interesting situation because it is a Liberal, Democratic kind of feel to the entire Busboys establishment, the people that come in, the people it attracts.”

Harris learned the men came from West Texas. They were in Washington D.C. for Donald Trump’s inauguration. The men told Harris the restaurant made an impression on them.

“He just told me he had never experienced that kind of atmosphere before,” Harris recalled. “I was just trying to get through the day.”

When it came time to clear the table, Harris noticed that one of the men had written a note on the check.

The note read:

But that’s not all. The men left a $450 tip on a $70 bill. Harris was thankful for the money, but also for the lesson.

In this story, a trucker stopped by a restaurant and surprised a waitress with a very bizarre order. He told her that he wanted flat tires, headlights, and running boards.

The waitress, who was new, did not understand it at all. Since she did not want to look stupid in front of him, she went back to the kitchen to ask the cook.

After finding out what the trucker wanted, she came up with an idea. What she did next will make you laugh out loud! It is so brilliant and unexpected.

This Waitress Posted A Photo Of Her Paycheck Online. Once You See The Amount, You’ll Be FLOORED

Have you ever had a waiter or waitress that just went above and beyond to make you happy? It’s not always easy for those in the service industry to balance the behind-the-scenes work of keeping a restaurant flowing with keeping smiles on the faces of their customers, but it’s certainly a job worth recognizing if done well.

That’s all one girl was saying when she posted on Facebook about the importance of tipping your service personnel.

Read on to see how her story is gaining new momentum. Back in 2013, Laura Boddy shared a post on Facebook with a picture of her most recent paycheck from her place of employment. The check was for a measly $1.70, and believe it or not, it was for a full 76 hours of

She added a caption which read, “Yup, you’re seeing that right…Just keep that in mind next time you decide not to tip your waiter or waitress. Happy Friday!”text

Clearly she had a bone to pick with a few customers who decided they didn’t need to leave a tip. While this topic can be a little controversial as those who have worked in the industry know how difficult it can be and those who haven’t often feel like it’s asking too much to tack on another 10-18% onto their already pricey restaurant tabs. Either way, it got people talking.comments

The story went viral back in 2013, but is once again making the rounds on Facebook, now boasting over 138,000 shares! It is apparently recirculating due to the current buzz over the proposed raises in minimum wage throughout some states in our country. Some publications, such as the Independent Journal Review, have reached out to Boddy for comment on her viral post, but so far, she has remained unresponsive.dollar

We’re not sure where you are, Laura, but we hope that you never have to post another tiny paycheck ever again!
