Woman Looks Up At Waiter Who Just Saved Her Life, Recognizes Him From 7 Years Earlier

Call it Karma, a twist of fate, God’s master plan, or just a one-in-a-billion coincidence. The story of Kevin Stephan and Penny Brown is absolutely remarkable.

It all started in 2009, in the city of Lancaster, New York, where Stephan was a bat boy for his younger brother’s Little League team, NBC News reports. A player who was warming up accidentally hit Stephan in the chest with a bat, and Stephan’s heart stopped beating.

“All I remember is that I dropped the bat off, and all of a sudden just got hit in the chest with something, and I turned around and passed out,” Stephan recalled.

Fortunately for Stephan, Brown, a registered nurse, was in attendance. She was supposed to be at work that night, but at the last minute was given the day off to watch her son play. Brown began CPR on Stephan and resuscitated him, saving his life.

Fast forward to 2016. Brown was eating at the Hillview Restaurant in Depew, New York, when she began to choke on her food. Witnesses claim that patrons began screaming for someone to help.

“The food wasn’t going anywhere and I totally couldn’t breathe,” Brown said. “It was very frightening.”

According to NBC News, one of the restaurant employees happened to be a volunteer firefighter, and knew how to perform the Heimlich Maneuver. That employee was Stephan. He performed the Heimlich on Brown, thus saving her life, just as she had saved his seven years earlier.

“It’s almost unbelievable,” sad Stephan.

“The fact that it has been two individuals [that] helped each other out in a pretty dire situation — it’s pretty extraordinary,” Brown added.

The story was posted to Reddit, where it quickly drew comments ranging from philosophical to funny.

“Its stories like these that make you think about destiny,” one Reddit user wrote. “Maybe life is already planned out for us.”

“In the new movie played by Hugh Grant and Jennifer Aniston!” another commented.

Stephan credits his firefighter training for providing him with the ability to properly perform the Heimlich.

“He called to thank me for teaching him what I taught him in order to be able to do what he did at the restaurant,” said Dan Curtis, the man who trained Stephan at the fire hall. “It was just incredible. And as an instructor, you can’t get a better compliment than that — when somebody in the civilian world takes what they learn in a four-hour CPR class and actually uses it to save someone’s life.”

Both the American Red Cross, which provided the firefighter training for Stephan, and Boy Scouts, which Stephan is a member of, are planning an award presentation for him.

Man, Woman Who Met Online And Bonded Instantly Get A Big Surprise

A St. Petersburg, Florida, couple that fell in love through an online dating site reportedly realized this was not the first time they had been in love with each other.

Justin Pounders and Amy Giberson, both 33, met through Match.com in November 2014, People reports. Pounders was reportedly browsing the site when he came across Giberson’s picture and immediately messaged her to express his interest.

“I saw her photo and for whatever reason, was instantly drawn to her,” he told People. “She just had this great energy, you could tell. I can’t explain it, but I knew I had to get to know this girl.”

The two exchanged many phone calls and text messages before meeting for their first date at a local restaurant. Two weeks later, the couple realized they had known each other as children.

“We were in the car and Justin casually mentioned that he loved my name because he had had a crush on a girl named Amy in his preschool,” Giberson told People.

She reportedly joked to Pounders, “Well, it’s not me, so I don’t want to hear about her!” When the couple discovered they had both attended Sunshine Preschool at the same time, they started putting the pieces together.

“We asked our parents to dig up any preschool photos they had,” Giberson said. “Justin’s mom found a photo of the two of us together and I just started crying, I was ecstatic. I was the Amy he had liked all those years ago!”

She added that “it was definitely meant to be.”

The two had indeed shared a childhood romance while attending the St. Petersburg-area preschool 30 years earlier. The couple’s former teacher and owner of Sunshine Preschool, Diane Twar, said she distinctly remembers the close friendship between the two youngsters.

“They had a blast with each other,” Twar said. “It was a quiet, bashful romance. They liked each other from afar, it was a young love, like a sweet crush, you know? They insisted on sitting next to each other in our school picture.”

Pounders and Giberson had gone their separate ways after preschool. Although they grew up in the same area, they went to different elementary, middle and high schools and had no friends or acquaintances in common. They both moved away from St. Petersburg for college, and both only recently returned to the Pinellas County city where they had grown up.

“Someone or something definitely decided we weren’t supposed to reconnect until now,” Pounders said. “We’ve been so close to finding each other this whole time but didn’t until the time was right. And that’s now.”

While Pounders is still waiting for the right moment to formally propose, they have already chosen their wedding date and honeymoon spot. The reunion is a bright spot in Pounders’ life after an unexpected tragedy.

In July 2012, Pounders was planning to move in with his girlfriend at the time, Adrianne Robert, when she was assaulted and killed by a man who followed her home after a night out with her roommate, ABC 30 Action News reported.

Pounders had reportedly been living in Clearwater, Florida, at the time. He moved back to St. Petersburg and met Giberson two years later.

“I feel like the luckiest human being in the world,” he told ABC 30.

Man Has The Best Reaction To Seeing His Mom For The First Time In 10 Years

Living far away from my family is not easy. Sure, we talk all the time, and I make sure they send me plenty of adorable photos and videos of my little nephew, but it’s just not the same as being able to give them a big hug.

Luckily, I get plenty of opportunities to visit them throughout the year, but that’s not so easy for Boston resident Jeffrey Mayi. After recently welcoming his first child into the world with wife Shannon, a baby boy named Christian, he obviously would love nothing more than to share the happy event with his family.

Unfortunately, Mayi’s younger brother lives all the way down in Florida, and his mother is even farther away in their home country of Gabon in Africa. With expensive airfare and long travel times, the big guy doesn’t get to spend much time with either of them.

In fact, it has been 10 long years since Mayi was able to see his mother face-to-face. I can’t imagine going that long without my mom, so I totally understand his reaction in the video below.

Shannon planned the huge surprise for her husband by secretly bringing the two into their home for this amazing moment.

She captures the whole thing on film as Mayi is completely stunned to see his brother standing in his living room. But the real tearjerker is when he turns to see his mom, too.

Take a look, and be sure to SHARE the beautiful reunion with your loved ones!

A Mysterious Stranger Appears At The Scene Of A Car Crash. Then They Notice His Shirt..

In 2013, Katie Lentz was 19 years old when a drunk driver slammed into her car as she headed down a cornfield-lined road in Missouri. For nearly an hour, Katie was pinned between her seat and the steering wheel, unable to move and struggling to breathe. First responders tried to free Katie from her totaled car, but time was slipping away. The fire chief began to lose hope for a successful rescue and Katie began to accept that she might not make it out alive. Out loud, Katie mustered the strength to ask the first responders and everyone gathered around the wreckage to pray with her.

Just then, seemingly out of nowhere, a mysterious figure emerged and led the group in prayer. The man wore a black priest shirt with a white collar. “Amen,” he said, before disappearing back into the crowd. Katie survived that day. But when the crowd went to thank the mystery priest for his calming prayer, he was no where to be found. Dozens of photos of the wreck were taken that day, and he wasn’t in a single picture.

Was this a priest… or an angel? Scroll down to find out…WOMAN

19-year-old Katie Lentz was struck by a drunk driver in 2013. For an hour, emergency crew workers tried to free Katie from her crushed vehicle, but their tools weren’t getting the job done fast enough. Time was slipping away, and Katie realized she might die. But just as suddenly as the priest appeared, he then vanished into thin air. When bystanders and rescue workers went to thank the priest for his “miracle prayer,” he was gone. There were about 70 photos taken at the scene of the accident — but the man wasn’t found in a single frame.

A composite sketch was drawn, but no one came forward. They claimed this was no man, but rather an angel.priest

As Katie’s story began to make headlines, the mystery man finally revealed himself. Father Patrick Dowling, who just so happened to be near the scene of the accident, had initially wanted to remain anonymous. He said he tried to avoid getting in the way of the struggling crew of first responders, and that he was only part of the answer to Katie’s prayers.

Father Dowling says the crowd and their combined prayers, along with the tireless emergency workers, were the heroes that day.katie and preist

On her 20th birthday, Katie received an incredible gift — a reunion with Father Dowling, her very own miracle worker.
