Mother Sees What Employee Did In Front Of Elderly Woman, Requests To Speak With Manager

A mother took to Facebook to share a story of a Target employee who became an example for her children when it came to exercising patience and understanding.

Sarah Owen Bigler’s Facebook post went viral after it was shared online.

In the post, Bigler explained that she went to Target with her two children and hoped to be in and out of the store relatively quickly:

I found a line with just one person ahead of me and began organizing my items on the conveyor. After placing my items, I look up to see that the person ahead of me was an elderly woman. She was paying for her items with change and wanted to purchase each separately. Part of me, the part that had a long day at work, the part of me who had a 1 1/2 year old having a melt down in the cart, the part that had set an unnecessary timeline for Target and getting home, was frustrated with this woman and the inconvenience she had placed on me.

She went on to describe how the Target cashier handled the situation.

“BUT then I watched the young employee with this woman,” she wrote. “I watched him help her count her change, ever so tenderly taking it from her shaking hands. I listened to him repeatedly saying ‘yes, mam’ to her. When she asked if she had enough to buy a reusable bag, he told her she did and went two lines over to get one for her and then repackaged her items. Never once did this employee huff, gruff or roll his eyes. He was nothing but patient and kind.”

Bigler then noticed that her daughter, Eloise, was watching the employee closely the entire time.

“She was standing next to the woman, watching the employee count the change. I realized I hadn’t been inconvenienced at all. That my daughter was instead witnessing kindness and patience and being taught this valuable lesson by a complete stranger; furthermore, I realized that I too needed a refresher on this lesson,” she wrote.

When it was finally Bigler’s turn to check out, the employee thanked her for her patience with the previous customer.

“I then thanked him for teaching us patience and kindness by his treatment of that elderly woman. And although my timeline for target was askew, when he was finished I pushed my cart through the store trying to find the manager,” she wrote. “I wanted her to know of the employee’s, kindness and patience, and how much it meant to me. After tracking her down and sharing the story with her, we left Target with a cart full of consumable items, but what is more a heart full of gratitude for such an invaluable lesson.”

Many readers praised the employee for being such a good example for the woman’s children.

“Thank you for sharing this story,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page. “The world needs more young people like this young man . He will be rewarded.”

“The things we learn when we open our eyes and pay attention to the things around you !!” another wrote. “Many, many Blessings Young man !! Thank You for Your patience !! Amen.”

“Awesome story!” commented another. “You sure don’t see that very often. Many young people, today, are so uncaring. It is nice to know there are some still out there that are nice and caring.”

Mother So Surprised By Rent-A-Car Employee’s Treatment Of Her That She Asks To Speak To Manager

A mom of twins from Oklahoma was touched by the act of kindness shown to her by an employee at a rental car agency after she was in a car accident.

Coty Vincent had just been the victim of a hit-and-run accident when she walked into an Enterprise Rent-A-Car with her twin sons, a statement from her on the Love What Matters Facebook page.

Vincent needed a helping hand, literally, and employee John stepped in to help.

“This is John and he works at enterprise,” Vincent wrote with a picture of John holding one of her sons. “He’s also a twin and his twin sister is his best friend. While he helped me with my rental due to a hit and run accident, he held one of my twin sons as I don’t have a double stroller. One of the most compassionate and caring people I’ve ever met. We need more people like John who go that extra step. Be a John.”

“As a mom of twins, simple gestures go a long way, so it was a great feeling that John recognized I needed help,” Vincent told Babble.

Vincent’s story has since gone viral. The Love What Matters post has been shared more than 8,500 times, with more than 120,000 people giving a reaction. The same post on Vincent’s Facebook page has been shared more than 13,000 times, with at least 115,000 reactions.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has taken note of John’s stellar customer service, and gifted Vincent with something she very much needs.

“We couldn’t let this touching story go unnoticed, so we picked up a few special deliveries,” Enterprise Rent-A-Car wrote in a July 15 Facebook post. “A new ride for the twins is on the way, as well as something for both Coty and John. We’re so proud of all of our team members who help take care of our customers each day by going the extra mile.”

Vincent commented on Enterprise’s post, expressing her gratitude for John and the company’s generosity, Babble reports:

I cannot thank you all enough. I’m so blessed from the day I found out I was having twins. The good Lord knew I could handle the honor of raising these boys and the angels on this Earth have just made things easier with this stroller. I have been confined to my home and grocery store trips by myself for the past eleven months. This stroller will give us a whole new take on life! God bless you Enterprise and all the generous offers from the public!

John is not used to having so much attention.

“I’ve never had this much attention, especially for just doing my job,” he said. “I was a college athlete so I try to take the hard work it took on the football field and apply it in the branch. And it’s really motivating to see people like who I am and what I do.”

Mom Abandons Deformed Baby Inside A Shoebox. 17 Years Later, He Brings The Judges To Tears

When Emmanuel Kelly was a little boy growing up in Iraq, he and his brother were found by nuns inside a shoebox as the war raged on around them. The brothers were both born with severely underdeveloped limbs due to the chemical warfare in their community.

Without the proper care they so desperately needed, the nuns brought Emmanuel and his brother Ahmed to an orphanage.

In 1998, Emmanuel and Ahmed were discovered by renowned Australian humanitarian Moira Therese Kelly at the Mother Teresa Orphanage in Baghdad. Moira originally brought Emmanuel and Ahmed back to her home in Australia to provide them with medical care, but she fell in love with them in the process. Moira became not only their hero, but also their adoptive mother. The brothers’ newfound sense of love and support allowed them to flourish into adulthood.

Ahmed, a quadruple amputee and swimmer, represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Emmanuel was also born with a special gift. He’s an amazing singer, and his family encouraged him to audition for The X Factor in 2011, at the age of 17.

Brave and determined, watch Emmanuel perform his emotional rendition of “Imagine” by John Lennon. His story moves the judges, and the entire audience, to absolute tears.

It’s amazing how an iconic song like “Imagine” can take on a whole new meaning based on who sings it and why. What a courageous young man and wonderful family.
