A doctor is accused of spiking his pregnant girlfriend’s tea with abortion pills.
In an interview with WROC, 37-year-old Brook Fiske said her unborn baby’s father, Sikander Imran, intentionally caused it to be pharmaceutically aborted, the Daily Mail reports.
He slipped her four abortion pills after learning that she had become pregnant and wanted to keep the baby, she explained. “He didn’t want to have a baby so he tried to talk me into having an abortion… which I didn’t want to do.”
Fiske says that she and Imran had been dating for about three years when he moved from Rochester, New York to Arlington, Virginia for a new job in June 2016.
According to her LinkedIn page, Fiske is a critical care nurse at the same Rochester hospital where Imran worked until he transferred to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Imran’s LinkedIn page reveals that he specializes in hematology/oncology.
When she was about 17 weeks pregnant, Fiske traveled down to Arlington to meet with Imran so they could discuss arrangements for raising the child.
It was during that visit that he allegedly poisoned her tea. “When I was drinking my tea in the evening I got to the bottom of the cup,” she explained. “There was a gritty substance in there and when I looked at it, I could tell that it was a pill that had been ground up.”
A few hours later, she began having contractions and was rushed to the hospital.
