Everyone at the wedding ceremony and reception, commented on how well the bride and groom looked together as a couple. But little did they know the new husband had a dark side he didn’t share publicly.

When he took his new bride home after their successful wedding, they wanted to consummate the marriage.  But the young woman was unable to get her wedding dress off. Embarrassed, she asked for her help. But he couldn’t take off the dress either.

Pushed beyond his limit, the husband snapped. And he took out all his violent rage on his brand-new wife…

22-year-old Amy Dawson was so happy when Gavin Golightly proposed to her. Shortly after she found out she was pregnant, they sped up the wedding date and got hitched in August.

“When I first met Gavin, he was lovely, I couldn’t fault him,” said Dawson. “He was caring and loving, and when we found we were having baby, we were delighted. I fell pregnant after eight months, but almost straight away, Gavin became controlling and manipulative. It was like walking on eggshells.”

On their wedding night, they duo struggled to get Dawson’s wedding dress off. When she asked Golightly again, he lost his temper and snapped.

The husband proceeded to beat his bride on their wedding night because he was frustrated with her dress.

“When he lashed out at me on my wedding night, I thought I was going to die. I was terrified.

He looked like he was going to kill me,” she said. “After the attack, he left the room and I tried to escape, but he came back in and continued to beat me. Eventually, I escaped and found a hotel porter, who called the police.”

After she learned what he husband was really like, Dawson left him immediately. Since the beating on her wedding night, Dawson has filed a restraining order against the “controlling and manipulative” man.

“It was such a lovely day, and I was devastated it ended the way it did. It was a huge celebration full of friends and family, and I thought it would have been the fresh start we needed,” Dawson said. “He means nothing to me now.”
