A Facebook post led to the arrest of a Colorado woman and the rescue of a dog.

Cherica Winston, 31, of Aurora, is facing animal cruelty charges after posting a questionable status on her Facebook page, Fox 31 reported.

“$50 bucks and you can have this damn pitt,” wrote Winston, known as Juju LaRay on Facebook. “imma keep shooting her with this taser and bb gun till she’s gone f*** this dog….”

Winston deleted her account, but not before former Facebook friend Travis Smith contacted Aurora police.

“My immediate reaction is ‘Oh, my God!’” Smith told Fox 31, adding that he has two dogs of his own. “I’ve never seen anything like that before.”

An investigation determined that Winston had committed a crime against the pit bull pup she was dog-sitting.

Police were able to track the dog down. When they arrived at the Aurora residence, they found the dog covered in its own urine and feces.

“A small dog, located in a small crate, the dog was all by itself,  no type food or water,” Aurora police Sgt. Chris Amsler said. “There was an awful smell. … The animal had been peeing in the crate and was soaked in the urine.”
